Martin Van Buren National Historic Site (Lindenwald) Website

Lindenwald was the home to Martin Van Buren, 8th President of the United States(1837-1841). The house has been restored to its appearance during Van Buren’s occupancy and tours of the 36-room mansion run from mid-May to the end of October. Visitors can enjoy a variety of special tours, events and activities planned throughout the year and there is no charge to walk the grounds, which are open 7:00am to sunset.

Olana was the 19th century home of Hudson River School artist Frederic Edwin Church (1826-1900). The 250 acre historic estate features a Persian-inspired mansion and strikingly beautiful vistas of the Hudson Valley. A Visitor Center offers an exhibit, film, interactive touch screen computers and museum shop. Enjoy guided house tours, view changing exhibits in the Gallery, hike, run and walk dogs in the picturesque landscape, picnic, paint, photograph and take part in programs and special events for all ages.

Hudson Opera House, Inc., a community multi-arts center, was formed in 1992 to restore the former City Hall, located in the downtown business district of Hudson, and return it to active civic and cultural use. Gallery Hours are Monday through Sunday, Noon to 5 pm. Building tours (offered anytime during open hours), readings and all exhibitions are always free of charge.
